Business funding
The council does not supply business loans or grants directly. The UK Government and the European Union provides business support funding for a wide range of business activities, and many of these schemes are available to businesses in Tower Hamlets through our local support agencies.
Eligibility for individual funding schemes depends on the nature of your business and the activities or projects you are engaged in. Our online database enables you to search for funding initiatives available in the borough that match your business profile. An example of one such scheme is the Business premises improvement grant, available through East London Small Business Centre.
The online database allows businesses to instantly access information about local and national funding opportunities. The easy-to-use service simplifies the traditionally complex system of funding and provides a comprehensive list of various funding streams, including grants and loans, plus guidance on how to apply for funding.
The web pages also feature the very latest local and national business news, information on support services and details about awards that can help to raise organisations’ profiles.
