Trader Information
The market service with 2,500 pitches to fill welcomes new traders, both temporary and permanent. To give freedom of choice as to market and commodity until they get established traders start with a temporary licence
A change to permanent status fixes the location in a market and the commodity. In some markets becoming permanent can be almost instant whilst in others there may a time before a permanent pitch becomes free.
Lower weekday pitch charges and the opportunity to employ a registered assistant, to cover short period of daily business absence and four week holiday in a year, are benefits of being permanent trader in Tower Hamlets.
Each Market has a Market Supervisor working on the market and his/her role is to provide guidance and practical assistance to new and existing traders.
