Nuisance rubbish on private land

If any domestic or trade rubbish is dumped on private land the council's environmental health department is responsible for seeing that it is removed.

Once this type of nuisance rubbish is reported to environmental health, in the interests of public health and safety we will contact the owner of the property and instruct them to organise the clearance of their land.

For any other rubbish dumped in a public places such as street rubbish, trade refuse, fly-tipped materials and normal weekly household rubbish, please contact the council's street cleansing services.

You can also report a rubbish problem online.

Alternatively you can report nuisance rubbish in a public open space by contacting the Parks and Recreation office on 020 7364 5004, or if there is nuisance rubbish on a housing estate, contact your local housing office who will then see that it is removed.

To report nuisance rubbish left on private land in the borough, contact the environmental health department between 9am and 5pm during the working day.
