Tower Hamlets Council is the largest single landlord in the borough, with over 13,000 tenanted homes. We have one of the largest numbers of leasehold homes of any council in London – almost 9,000 leasehold homes or 40% of our housing.

There is a large demand for social housing in the borough and the council works closely with our partner social landlords on the Common Housing Register to maximise the supply of homes.

We are committed to improving the quality of housing in the borough and providing the best possible housing service to tenants and leaseholders.
