Introduction to the Supporting People Programme in Tower Hamlets
Do you need some help to live independently? Or would you like to live somewhere where you can get help with any housing-related needs you face? The Supporting People Team may be able to help you.
We fund organisations (such as charities, housing associations, council services and private companies) to provide services which will help people sustain their living arrangements and live as independently as possible. This means paying for services like:
- Wardens in sheltered accommodation;
- Support staff in hostels;
- Support staff in accommodation for people with learning disabilities, mental health needs or young people;
- Support services which can be provided in your own home (like helping you access benefits, help with budgeting and paying bills).
The pages in this section give more information about the kind of housing support services funded by Supporting People and who may be eligible for help. Please use the links on the left to read more.
If you are a Supporting People service provider or one of our health or social services partners, you can find more information about Supporting People on the Tower Hamlets pages of the national supporting people website.
