Schools library services - Introduction

The Schools library services provides the following range of services:

• Project and learning resources loans. The resources available fully cover the National curriculum and National primary and secondary education requirements
• A book purchase scheme which allows schools to use the School library service’s stock of books and resources to identify good resources that can be bought for their own libraries
• Information and advice on the management and organisation of school libraries and learning resources
• Training and talks for staff working in schools who are responsible for organising, buying and promoting learning resources
• Exhibitions of books and learning and education resources and book fairs in schools.
