What's new
The Council has produced its first Disability Equality Scheme which sets out the steps we will take to promote equality for local disabled people over the next three years.
The Scheme was produced as a result of a new public sector duty under the Disability Discrimination Act 2005. The Act has extended the definition of disability to include people living with HIV, multiple sclerosis and cancer.
